Model CVH-98-02 Plug-n-Play Amplifier Interconnection Harness

The CVH-98-02 radio harness is designed to be used with the 4AMP-XX or Model 201/301 series of combiner/amplifiers. It allows three amplifier input sources to be combined with the audio from the factory AM/FM stereo. The amplifier will mix these sources together and the resulting mix will be heard in both front door speakers. The two factory rear speakers will continue to function as normal. They will not reproduce the mixed audio from the amplifier inputs.

This harness will also work for situations where it is not desirable to have the factory stereo heard in the front door speakers. By using the factory stereo’s fader control, it is possible to hear AM/FM stereo audio in the rear speakers, and amplifier mixed audio in the front speakers. This can easily be changed by the user at any time. If it is never desirable to have factory stereo audio in the front speakers, then the installer can neglect to make the radio output connections altogether. This will make all four amplifier inputs available, instead of only three.
